Projects

From the family history project to the major exhibition, my goal is to help bring your ideas to life. I’ve taken on a variety of small and large-scale projects, always aiming to exceed expectations. Take a look at my past and current work below.

Research Assistance for Publication

Fall 2021 - present

I am locating historic images for my client's forthcoming publication by conducting a thorough search of archives and personal collections in the Houston area. My client will receive a detailed research package complete with low-res scans, historical context, and helpful historical timelines.

Exhibit Design

Fall 2021 - present

This project is an homage to one of Houston's renowned East End families in the form of a permanent installation at a community center. I am researching, writing, and designing the exhibit content.

Exhibit Design

Spring 2022

This client is seeking a permanent display to tell their organization's origin story while providing an educational and inspirational experience for donors and members alike.  For this project, I am locating historic documents and photographs, writing exhibit text, and designing the exhibit to include a video monitor with digital content.

Records Assessment

Spring 2022

I am assessing the preservation needs of a non-profit organization with holdings of historic paper, textile, and audiovisual materials. This includes locating potential sources of funding and options for digitization and access.

Hispanic Collections Archivist

April 2013 - August 2021

During my time as an archivist for the Houston Metropolitan Research Center, I processed collections, hosted programs for all ages, and curated large and small-scale exhibits. For details see the About page in the menu above, and the Exhibit Gallery below.
